Jannis Culver Dykeman, age 95, passed away July 14, 2025 at Integris Hospice House.
Jannis was born February 4, 1930, in Billings Oklahoma, the daughter of the late
William Gordon and Viola Hayton and sister of the late Bill Hayton.
Jannis married Bill Joe Culver, May 20, 1950 and lived in Pawhuska Oklahoma for 45
happy years until his death March 1, 1995. Five years later, Jannis reunited with a
college friend, Sam Dykeman, and they were married on November 19, 2000 and lived
in Oklahoma City.
She is survived by her husband Sam, daughter Cathey Jo Warner, Edmond, OK; Ben
Gordon Culver (Missy), Pawhuska OK; Stan Culver (Lori), Dodge City KS.
Grandchildren Whit Culver (Tiffany), Courtney Ellingson (Jared), Katie Culver, Leslie
Hamlin (Sean), John Wayland Culver (Coye) and Kelsey Culver. Great-grandchildren:
Jack and Maggie Ellingson; Mallory, Aidan, Ella, Hannah and Charlotte Hamlin; Waite
and Emeline Culver; and Remington Culver. Sam's sons: David and W. Samuel
Dykeman; Granddaughter Lauren Olivia Ordiway (Keith) and Great granddaughter
Goldie Luella Ordiway.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 1 at First Presbyterian
Church in Oklahoma City and 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 2 at Presbyterian Disciples
Church in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, donations to First Presbyterian Church, Oklahoma City or Integris
Hospice House in Oklahoma City are appreciated.
