It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Rita Dykeman, who left this world peacefully on June 8, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 4, 1953, in Mount Vernon, NY, Robin was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who brought joy and kindness to all who knew her.
Robin spent her career as a dedicated manager at IBM in Poughkeepsie and Fishkill where she was not only a respected leader but also a mentor to her colleagues. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her love for her family. Robin is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Dykeman whom she married on April 11, 1999 in Fishkill, NY; her cherished daughters, Jessica Martin and her husband Joseph, and Jenifer Neubauer, her grandchildren, Kaylie, Emily, Andrew and Cameron; her siblings, Kathy Horgan, Allison Princiotta, Maureen Gerardi, Brian McGloin and Chip McGloin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Robin was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Hazel (Poole) McGloin; and her siblings, Russ McGloin, Maura McGloin and Vicki Chapeton.
A memorial service honoring Robin's life will be held on June 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. Friends and family are invited to visit from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on the same day to share in remembrance and reflection.
Memorial donations may be made to Cure HHT P.O. Box 329 Monkton, MD 21111. The family also encourages friends and family to donate blood.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Robin Rita Dykeman, we invite all who knew her to join in honoring her legacy of compassion, strength, and love. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
