Janson Kemp Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 7, 2025.
Janson William Kemp, with his sweet wife by his side, peacefully passed away and was welcomed into eternity on October 5, 2025.
Janson was born December 16, 1979, to Judd and Judy Kemp. As the second of the three Kemp boys, Janson grew up in Murray, Utah, where he developed deep and lasting friendships with those in his school, church and neighborhood. During his youth, Janson fell in love with art and music and used his incredible ear to learn anything he wanted to play on the guitar. Janson also played basketball for Murray High School. After graduation, he attended Rick's College and decided to dedicate two years to Jesus Christ as a missionary.
After serving a mission in the Philippines, Janson returned home to pursue his education at UVU in Provo, Utah. While there, Janson met the love of his life, Meagan Koscinski. They were married on November 22, 2002 in the Jordan River Temple. Janson's marriage to Meagan was the proudest accomplishment of his life. She was everything to him from the beginning, and they were inseparable.
After moving to Texas, Janson completed his education as a Doctor of Chiropractic at Parker College in Dallas. Janson worked as a chiropractor and he and Meagan made incredible friends. Janson couldn't help but make new friends everywhere he went. His trademark smile, infectious laugh and his giant heart allowed everyone to feel welcomed and that they belonged.
Janson and Meagan were blessed with two beautiful children, Cash (2008) and Chloe (2010). Janson spent every day seeking to make them happy and to enjoy every moment they had together. He loved being their dad; from picking up Cash at school to finding new video games to play with Chloe, he loved them with his whole soul. In return, they loved him and gave him purpose.
Returning home to Utah in 2013 after his father passed away, Janson started a chiropractic business with a close friend and found meaning in easing people's physical pain. Janson was an excellent doctor and sought to bring healing and comfort through his tremendous skill.
Beginning in 2023, Janson fought melanoma in his hip, lymph nodes, lungs, and brain with dignity, strength and grace. He never complained. During his most challenging moments, his constant concern was for his family. They were always at the forefront of his mind. While his body gave out, his spirit never did. Nor did his faith in God, in Jesus Christ, and in people.
Janson was without guile and served others in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He also supported Meagan in her many callings.
Janson is preceded in death by his father and hero, Judd. He is survived by his wife Meagan, his children Cash (16) and Chloe (15), his mom, Judy, his brothers Jaden (Brooke) and Jordan (Amy), as well as nieces and nephews and loving friends, all of whom cherished their time with Janson.
As you remember Janson, honor him by taking a moment to reach out to someone you haven't spoken to in a while. Smile at a neighbor. Share a great joke or a new song. Find a way to serve others. Be a peacemaker. See the best in others. Find joy in everyday moments. Be a little more like Janson.
Per family wishes, no public viewing will be held. Funeral services will be Friday, October 10th at 11:00AM at the Herriman Utah Stake Center: 5562 West 13680 South, Herriman, Utah. Interment will take place in Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 South 1950 East, Sandy, Utah.
