Jared Beemer
September 3, 1980 – September 13, 2025
Jared Beemer lived with loyalty, humor, and a drive to help others in both small and significant ways. Whether pulling a stranded driver from a snowy ditch, passing along knowledge in the auto parts business, or simply being the friend who always showed up, Jared found purpose in being reliable. On September 13, 2025, at age 45, Jared passed away in Waukegan, Illinois-just two days before his mother, Suzanne. Their bond in life was inseparable, and while their passing so close together carries a poignant symmetry, Jared's life deserves to be remembered on its own: as a life of grit, generosity, and steadfast love.
Jared was born on September 3, 1980, into a life of movement and change. With his mother, Suzanne, and father, David, he moved from Georgia to Guantanamo Bay, then to San Diego, Philadelphia, and finally Great Lakes. Each move brought challenges, but Jared found his place in Cub Scouts and later as a Webelo, where he learned camaraderie and the satisfaction of working as part of a team. Above all, he was a devoted son and a protective big brother.
He and his mother shared an especially deep connection. Both carried their own anxieties, but together they steadied one another. When David was away on deployment, Jared and Suzy leaned on each other, building a bond of mutual care that endured throughout their lives.
As an adult, Jared built his career around cars. He began with towing, where he loved being the rescuer who arrived when people were stranded. Later he transitioned into the auto parts business, where he advanced steadily and became known as someone who would share his knowledge freely. He loved the hands-on, practical world of cars, and he loved the way that work gave him the chance to help people in tangible, immediate ways.
Waukegan became Jared's "center of gravity." There, he found camaraderie among colleagues and friends who respected his work ethic and his loyalty. For Jared, fulfillment came not from accolades but from being dependable-the one you called when you were stuck, the one you trusted to come through.
Like many, Jared faced difficulties that weighed heavily. Some decisions revealed struggles that followed him for years. He lived for periods in Kansas City and Austin before returning to Waukegan, where the familiar faces of old friends gave him grounding.
The hardest struggle, however, was watching his mother's Alzheimer's progress. For Jared, Suzy had always been his anchor. As the disease slowly took her from him, he found it difficult to bear. His depression deepened, even as he continued to help others whenever he could. His death was not an act of intent but the result of a long battle with grief and struggle.
To those who knew him best, Jared will always be remembered for his loyalty and his heart. He was quick with humor, protective of those he loved, and happiest when he was able to lend a hand. He was the man who would drop everything to pull your car out of a ditch, the friend you knew would answer the phone late at night, and the son who walked through every stage of life alongside his mother.
He is survived by his father, David, his brothers, Ryan and Benjamin and his sister, Holly and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne, whose love was his lifelong compass.
Jared's life reminds us that sometimes the truest measure of a person is not found in accolades or achievements but in the quiet, consistent acts of loyalty and kindness. His story endures in the lives he touched and in the love he gave.
