Jared Michael Billard died unexpectedly on April 18, 2024 at Backus Hospital, Norwich, CT. He was born in Hartford, CT on October 2, 1990. He is survived by his mother Lourdes "Lori" (Daugherty) Allison and her husband Mark, his father David Michael Billard and his wife DiAnna, (Moore); brother, Jonathan David Billard and his wife Holly; and many family members, high school and Army friends, with whom he formed strong lifelong bonds.
He graduated from RHAM High School and attended Manchester Community College. Growing up he loved his family and friends whether it was playing in the woods, watching his favorite movies with friends, or spending hours in his father's arborist saddle suspended from a rope high up in the tree top. He credited this experience to helping him rappel out of helicopters when he served in the US Army. He served 3 years in the "Hardrock" Company, 1-502 Infantry Regiment "First Strike", 101st Airborne Division. Jared went above and beyond the call of duty when he served in his deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XV. He was always there for his men to his left and right and would never let them down.
Jared was a quiet person with a big heart who would go out of his way to help people in need who were often at low points.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jared's memory to the Veterans Base Camp, 108 England Road, Chaplin, CT 06235 or any veteran organization of your choice.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
