It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jared Ephraim Kettering, of Atlanta, GA, who left us too soon on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the age of 37.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a Memorial Service to follow from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, led by Pastor Eli Velazquez.
Born at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Jared was the beloved son of David Kettering and Melissa (Cox) Wheeling. He grew up in Kennesaw and attended Harrison High School. At just 17 years old, Jared began working at Reliance Interiors, Inc., where he built a successful career through hard work and determination. He rose to the role of Senior Site Superintendent, earning the respect and admiration of his coworkers and peers.
Jared was known for his energetic spirit and wide range of interests. In his younger years, he was a standout on the baseball field and spent countless hours playing airsoft and paintball with his brothers and friends. Some of his most treasured moments were spent at the family "Camp House," where he enjoyed hunting and exploring the great outdoors. A passionate gun enthusiast, Jared often visited the shooting range and found joy in perfecting his craft.
Above all else, Jared loved being a father. His daughters were the light of his life, and his happiest moments were those spent with them. He had a magnetic personality-always quick to laugh, always wearing a smile. To know him was to love him.
Jared is preceded in death by his brother, Joshua. He is survived by his wife, Magaly Jimenez, and his three cherished daughters: Anna (Nolan) Pettitt (20), Hayleigh Kettering (14), and Khloee Kettering (12). He is also remembered with love by Tiffany Williams, mother of his children; his mother, Melissa Wheeling, father David (Jackie) Kettering; siblings Travis (Misti) Kettering, Luke (Carmen) Kettering, Brandee (Chris) Wilken, Justin (Brittney) Floyd, and Jacob (Megan) Floyd; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts.
To honor Jared's memory, his family kindly requests donations in his name to Genesis Ministries, a place that was very special to him and his family:
