Jared Underhill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Red Mountain Funeral Home on Jan. 15, 2025.
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jared Chance Underhill on January 4, 2025 at the age of 29. Jared was a lifelong Arizona resident and a proud graduate of Skyline High School. He leaves behind a huge community of family, friends and co-workers who have been forever impacted by his kind, generous heart.
Jared was a passionate, thoughtful person who was full of love for life and everyone that surrounded him. He was artistic and his creativity was unsurpassed. His interests were wide ranging and he was always up to try new things. From cooking to writing, you never knew you might get from him. Jared loved everything (except spiders, velcro and tuna!) He listened to a wide variety of music, could quote entire movies and was happy to converse on any subject from history, politics and the economy to Magic Cards, video games and anime.
Jared was loving and cared deeply for the people in his life and was the first to offer help to anyone. He most certainly was a person who would give you the shirt off his back. If you needed a hug, Jared was your guy.
The widespread outpouring of love and prayers we have received has shown us that Jared positively impacted people far and wide.
Jared is survived by his father and stepmother Teddy Scott and Sue Underhill, mother and stepfather Shelly and Jeff Fulcher, brothers Chad Underhill and Jeffrey Fulcher, sister Jessica Fulcher, grandmother Judith Olin, uncles, aunts, cousins, a nephew and a niece. He was preceeded in death by grandparents Ted and Patricia Underhill and grandfather William Olin.
Family and friends will gather in private events to mourn his passing but more importantly share stories about this incredible person and hug each other!
Don't live with regrets. Do what makes you happy and remember, life is short

A fond memory I have of Jared is when I was visiting one year and we went to a large shopping mall to shop and the only thing Jared was concerned about was finding something for his dad. You would think an 8 year old boy would only be wanting something for himself, but not SWEET JARED.

Jared was so special to David and I. He was always there for us. And helped with our endless parties. We will treasure our memories and the visits at or home. We miss you and love you.

It's so hard to believe you were taken so soon from your family and friends,
Working with your Mom for 20 years, I know you loved everyone so hard as you had such a HUGE heart. You will be deeply missed.

I have many, many memories of Jared as he was my first Grand child and I was fortunate to be able to care for him for his first year of life. The most appropriate memory at this time I have of him is - as a grandmother I was trying to teach him money management. He was very patient and listened to me endless times and finally his comment back to me was "grandma I'm making memories". It gives me great comfort to know now how many memories he must have. Love and miss him so much but so thankful for the memories he made with, and for me.
