Jarmelia Mitchell

Jarmelia Ann (Webster) Titus Mitchell Jarmelia was born April 12, 1939, in Towanda, PA, and passed away on November 11, 2025, at Windsor Senior Living of Ocala, Florida. Her parents were Paul and Lillian (Zurn) Webster. Jarmelia graduated from St. Agnes High School in Towanda, PA in 1957. She married Ren A. Titus of Sayre, PA on September 04, 1957, they had three children, Dawn, Bonnie, and Todd. They were divorced in 1972. Jarmelia worked at the RPH as a Certified Pharmacy and I.V. Technician. Jarmelia served in the US Naval Reserve as a Petty Officer Second Class Yeoman and Career Counselor; she was honorably discharged. In 1982, she married Sidney Mitchell of Athens, PA. They moved to Ocala, Florida in 1985. She worked as a bookkeeper for Dunkin Donuts of Ocala. Jarmelia belonged to the Republican Women of Ocala/Marion Federated and served as Treasurer and Secretary. She also belonged to the Republican Executive Committee and served as Precinct Committee woman; she was the Treasurer and Secretary of the Eagle Forum of Sun Country. She also served as Treasurer of the Christian Coalition of Ocala. Jarmelia was a member in good standing at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Marion Oaks. She served on the Church Council as Secretary, VP, Fellowship Cmte, and liaison with the Worship committee in choosing two new pastors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul E. Webster, Lillian E. Zurn, her brother, Edward "Bud" Webster, and her sister, Mary M. Webster O'Connor. Jarmelia was survived by her children, Dawn (Titus) and Joe Fitzpatrick of Ocala, Bonnie (Titus) and Terry Niemiller of Ocala, Todd(Ellen) TItus of Jessup, Maryland. Grandsons, Widrig and wife, Betty of NY, and Tyler (Megan) Niemiller. One great grandson, Theodore. Her brother, Paul "Pete" and Pat Webster of Athens, PA. Many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 260 Marion Oaks Lane, Ocala, Florida 34473; a committal service will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 1:30PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given to Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Ocala, Florida. Arrangements are being made by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services in Belleview, Florida.
