December 7, 1933 to July 31, 2025
Jarolyn Ann Dusek passed from her earthly life to her heavenly home on July 31, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1933 to Frank and Blazenka Dusek. She had two older brothers, Jimmy and Benny Dusek, and one younger sister Ruth Dusek Deaton. The four siblings enjoyed a very close relationship having only one year between each of them. They lived, worked, and played on their Lowake farm. Their father passed away when Jarolyn was 11 years old, leaving their mother, Blazenka, to raise the children. A few years later, they moved to
San Angelo, Texas and quickly made friends at Lakeview High School. Jarolyn was very active in high school and was the "Best All-Around Girl" for her Senior year. She continued her education at San Angelo Business School. She began her bookkeeping career in San Angelo and continued that career with a move to Clovis, New Mexico. She worked as a bookkeeper and worked with many co-workers and clients. During tax season, that required many overtime hours, especially before computers.
She had many decades long friends and neighbors who became her family in Clovis. Jarolyn made regular trips from Clovis to San Angelo, Rowena, and Lowake to spend time with family in the area. She also traveled to Plaquemine, Louisiana to spend time with her brother and family. Jarolyn was a very special aunt to her nieces and nephews and later to their children as well. She always remembered birthdays and anniversaries of loved ones, making each feel special.
The farm girl in her showed with her love of being outdoors, gardening, daily feeding the birds in her back yard, walking dogs in her neighborhood, enjoying nature, weather, clouds, and stars. At different times in her life, she enjoyed reading, movies, basketball, and bowling. She always enjoyed time with family and friends.
Jarolyn was blessed to have good health. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, as well as her loving, generous, loyal, happy personality. She lived a practical life, enjoying a simple life with simple pleasures. She appreciated her Czech heritage and always said The Lord's Prayer in the Czech language.
In her later years, she moved to Pueblo, Colorado to be close to her family. Short drives to the mountains and parks around Pueblo were always a special treat. In the parks she loved to watch and count the geese, dogs, squirrels, or simply admire the clouds.
She challenged her mind with numbers. While doing adult dot-to-dot puzzles in those later years, she quickly found the next number before anyone else could. She would enjoy jigsaw puzzles and never wanted to miss Bingo.
Preceding her to heaven are her parents, Frank Dusek, Blazenka (Dusek) Williams; brothers, Jimmy, Benny Dusek; sister and her husband, Ruth Dusek Deaton, Wilford Deaton; and niece, Arlene Deaton Riddle.
She is survived by sisters-in-law Emme Dusek, Wilma Dusek; nieces Debbie (Bill) Herrington, Wadene (Cliff) Hopper, Joni (John) Stewart, Lori (Paul) Dew, Kristi Dusek; nephews Jay (Terri) Dusek, Thane Dusek; many other cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews. Also, many friends she had chosen as family.
