Jarred T. Kenville, 84, of Superior, died Friday, December 15, 2023, in his residence.
He was born on August 20, 1939, in Superior, WI, the son of Harter and Lillian (Laberdie) Kenville.
On April 18, 1972, Jarred and Patricia Grenier were united in marriage.
Jarred and Pat owned and operated The Kitchen restaurant in Superior for over 21 years. Jarred also owned JT Kenville & Sons Construction. He was a member of the International Local 139 Operating Engineers for over 60 years and was a Minnesota Golden Gloves Boxing Champion.
Jarred enjoyed playing cards and taking family trips. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids, who he affectionately referred to as "dirty rats". Family and friends will remember him for his hard work and one-of-a-kind personality. He took great joy in being the fun uncle for all the nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Al Kenville, Harter Kenville, Kathleen Hill, Barbara Backland, and Claudine Grund.
Jarred is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Pat; sons, Brent (Leah), Jarred 'JT' Jr. (Tomiann) both of Superior; grandchildren, Zoe, Jillian, Brayah, Peyton, and Kye; and siblings, Carol Sigfrids of Superior, Marcia Hawkins of Palm Desert, CA, Claudia 'Lolly' Kenville of Milwaukee, Annette (George) Brunswick of Iron River, MI, Mark Kenville, Joy Meehan of Long Beach, CA, and Gloria (Doug McIver) West of Superior.
The visitation will be from 10 until the 11:00 service, Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. Reverend Father Andrew Ricci will officiate.
The family would like to thank the St. Luke's Hospice care team for the excellent care they provided Jarred.
