Jarrel Ogles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Old Mission Mortuary & Old Mission Wichita Park Cemetery on Jan. 6, 2026.
Jarrel was born on January 19, 1994, in Wichita, Kansas, to Derek Hubbard and Jeannette Ogles. He attended Highland Park High School in
Topeka, Kansas. From an early age, Jarrel showed a natural talent for working with his hands. He was a self-taught mechanic and carpenter-someone who could look at a problem and find a solution. If something was broken, Jarrel knew how to fix it, and he was always willing to do so for others without hesitation.

Jarrel was known for his loving heart, his loyalty, and his open spirit. He had a way of making people feel supported, whether through his actions, his help, or simply his presence. He formed meaningful relationships with countless people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Family meant everything to him, and his love for those closest to him was unwavering.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donna Hill, Dwight "Tiny" Hill & George Atkinson.

Jarrel leaves to cherish his memory his beloved sons: Jarrel Ogles Jr., Dontae Ogles, Nyyear Ogles, and Joseph Ogles. He is also survived by his parents, Derek Hubbard and Jeannette Ogles; his grandmother, Melvia Sutton; his brothers: Demonte Hill, Dezmond Ogles, Derek Hubbard Jr., Jarron (Shaina) Ogles, Decquan Richardson, Armaad Hubbard, Derion Hubbard, and De'erek Hubbard; his sisters: Brittney Brown, Kia Hubbard, Avery Hubbard, and Amirah Johnson; along with two nieces, three nephews, and a host of other family members and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Jarrel's legacy lives on through the love he gave, the hands he helped, and the lives he touched. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to always show up for others will never be forgotten.
