Jason Bauer Obituary

Jason Bauer

September 18, 1971 - September 13, 2025

Jason Bauer, age 54 of Durand died Saturday, September 13, 2025, at home with his family by his side.

Jason was born March 18, in Eau Claire, WI. He was the son of Dale Bauer and Colleen Lorenz. Jason grew up in Fall Creek and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1989. After graduation Jason entered the US NAVY where he proudly served from 1989 to 1992. After the NAVY Jason worked at Menards, Inc – Wood Recycling Department from 1992 to 2014. He was currently employed at Bearing Headquarters Company in Eau Claire since 2014.

Jason and April enjoyed many adventures together with their black lab children: Doc, Wyatt, Ike, Spike, and Huck over the past 37 years. Through the years they stayed close to home living in Fall Creek, Eau Claire, and Durand. On one of many trips to Las Vegas, they married in June 2003!

Jason enjoyed life to the fullest and will be remembered as the life of the party wearing his funny borderline offensive T-shirts. His favorite past times included bird hunting, deer hunting, tournament hunting, dirt track racing, and gambling. His favorite vacation spots were Las Vegas and Wyoming.

Jason is survived by his wife April and dog Huckleberry of Durand, parents Dale (Debbie) Bauer of Durand and Colleen (Micheal) Lorenz of Eau Claire, Brother Chester Bauer of Durand, Sisters, Amanda Bauer of Durand, and Rebecca Traun of Mondovi, God Son Leo Prissel of Durand, aunts & uncles, and nieces & nephews. He is proceeded in death by his dogs, Doc, Wyatt, Ike, & Spike, Stepfather James Wilkie, Aunt Shelly Katzfey, Uncle Richard Deardorff, Grandparents, Clyde & Boots Nelson and Leonard & Magdalene Bauer and Margaret Wilkie.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Conrad's Race Shop W97 Albany J, Mondovi, WI, we will party the Jason Bauer way with Military Honors. We invite you to put on your funniest shirt and join us from 12PM-4PM.

We want to extend our heartfelt thank you to Marshfield Clinic Gastroenterology, St. Croix Hospice, Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, and above all friends and family for the help, memories, and thoughts.
