Jason Darrell Bethany
Jason Darrel Bethany, 50, of Roswell, passed away from this life August 30, 2024. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, 6:00pm, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church Roswell, NM. A wake for family and friends will follow at The American Legion Post 28.
Jason was born to Darrel and Judy Milroy Bethany on January 2, 1974, in Hobbs, NM. His suffering has ended, and he will watch over us with his wings spread wide. Jason graduated from Denver City High School in 1992 and went on to graduate from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1995. He found his passion in serving families throughout SE New Mexico and Texas as a funeral director for over 20 years. He was a member of the New Mexico Funeral Directors Association and served for one year as President. If you knew Jason, you have a story to share about a time and place that was full of life and laughter. His family meant the world to him and remained his main concern to the very end. He was a member of the American Legion and had served on the board of officials with the Legion Riders. Jason had achieved the highest ranking in the Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his mother Judy ”JuJu” Bethany; two uncles Robert Belter and Glen Bethany; maternal grandparents David and Helen Milroy and paternal grandparents Harmon and Blanche Bethany.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his former wife and fiancé, Melissa Bethany of Roswell; three daughters: Kaylee and Savannah Bethany, Courtney Ramirez and her husband Joser of Roswell; one son: Nicholas DeLosSantos of Roswell; one sister: Christian Barnes of Seminole, TX; one brother Shawn Bethany and his wife Feather of Seminole, TX; his beloved Aunt Carol Belter of Okmulgee, OK; 8 grandchildren: Brighton, Blair, Rennon, Copeland, Gwynneth, Roman, Melodi, and Gabriella all of Roswell; two nephews, David and John Barnes of Seminole, Tx; and numerous cousins and friends whom Jason considered family.
