Jason John Burtch, affectionately known as Jay, was born in Wisconsin on February 20, 1970, the son of the late Walter "Bud" and Marguerite "Margie" (LaBadie) Burtch, and passed away unexpectedly on November 1, 2025. Throughout his life, he embraced the joys of family, friends, and nature, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
A proud father and devoted husband, Jason loved his family deeply. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sue Burtch, and their two wonderful children, Casey and Ryan. They brought him immense joy and pride, serving as a constant source of motivation and inspiration in his life. Jason's love also extended to his siblings: Ed (Karen) Burtch, Vicki (Ray) Minturn, Kathy (Karl) Voge, Joe (Donna) Burtch, Karen (Brian) Nelson, and Eric (Darcie) Burtch, with whom he shared countless memories of laughter and camaraderie.
Jason had a remarkable personality characterized by his loving, outgoing, funny, and caring nature. He always brought smiles to those around him, making gatherings more delightful with his vibrant spirit. His infectious laughter echoed through get-togethers, vacations, and camping trips with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Jason found tranquility in the woods, where he spent as much time as he could hunting with his brothers and son. His escapades up north were legendary, filled with adventures, stories, and an enduring bond that only family can share. He loved camping with his family and dear friends around Wisconsin each summer, especially the annual trip to Twin Bridge County Park in Marinette County, his annual “Fish Camp” trip with the boys, and Memorial Day weekends on White Potato Lake. A true lover of nature and animals, especially his dog, Pearl, Jason enjoyed the serenity that the great outdoors provided.
Jason's quiet strength shone through in how he cared for everyone around him. He was always there, taking care of others without seeking recognition or praise. His selflessness and compassion turned every gathering into a celebration of connection and love.
Now, as we reflect on the life of Jason John Burtch, we will hold dear the warmth of his laughter, the light of his spirit, and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind. He was not just a son to Bud and Margie Burtch, whose memories he carries with him, but a beacon of love and joy in the lives of many. Jason’s loving heart and joyous spirit will forever be remembered, as his family and friends continue to share the stories and laugh in his honor.
