Jason Draper Obituary

Jason D. (Ball) Draper, age 47 of Big Spring passed away Friday, August 1, 2025. Visitation will be from 9 AM until 9 PM Wednesday with a vigil service at 7 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
He was born on November 28, 1977 in Big Spring to parents William David Draper, Jr. and Barbara Lou McAlister. Jason was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. Graduated from Big Spring High School as well as Howard College in 2000 and Midland College in 2002. He was a certified nursing assistant and a respiratory therapist. Jason worked at Scenic Mountain Medical Center and later in Home Health Care. Religion and the Bible were very important to him. He was a witness to many people and loved teaching the Bible.
Jason is survived by his wife, Amelia Cruz; son, Jonathan Cruz Draper; daughter, Alena Marie Cruz Draper; parents: Barbara (Ron) Ball & David (Sara) Draper; brother, Justin Ball (Louisa Lopez Ball); and sister, Stephanie (Jon) Tupman.
