Jason O. Darr, 51, passed away on February 14, 2025. He was born September 25, 1973 in
Visalia, California to Carroll and Dorothy Darr, he grew up alongside his older brother Clay.
In 1991 Jason met the love of his life, Debbie Mansfield. After they wed in 1996, they laid down
roots in Grangeville, ID and built a beautiful life and family. Jason was a Contractor by trade and
worked on many homes in Idaho County and beyond. He loved people and had a multitude of
friends. He was absolutely devoted to his wife and their children. If you were lucky enough to
know Jason, you knew what a great guy he was. He was quick with a laugh, joke and a hug and
seemed to always have a smile on his face.
From following and supporting the kids through their school years and beyond, to upgrading
Debbie's salon and their home, his dedication never wavered. He was a proud Grandpa and
without question, adored his grandkids Ross, Ryatt and Camille along with his nieces and
nephews. He loved floating the river, hunting, fishing, woodworking, being creative and cooking
for anybody and everybody.
Jason is survived by his wife, Debbie Darr, Daughter; Tessa (Eli Freydl) Darr, Son; Blake Darr,
Father; Carroll (Della) Darr, Mother; Dorothy Mendes, Stepmom; Dorene (Dave) George,
Brothers; Clay (Bernice) Darr, Dave Mendes, David Mendes, Rick Mendes, Bryon Eoff, Travis
(Stephanie) Gilley, and Casey (Jaime) Gilley, Sisters; Erika Mendes, Pauline Mendes, Shannon
