Jason Parker Farrar, 44, of Somerville, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 1, 2025. He lived a life filled with ambition, love, and adventure.

Born on July 2, 1981, he was the beloved son of Patricia Genthner and Leslie Farrar. He grew up in Waldoboro, surrounded by friends, family, and the river that became his second home. He became well-known in the community for his fun, outgoing personality and for being the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Helping others always came naturally to him.

He cherished time with his grandparents, Patricia and Ronald Genthner, yard sales and bowling with Patricia, and hauling traps with Ronald. Later, he spent countless hours on the Waldoboro River with his uncle, Ronald Genthner Jr., digging clams, lobstering, and fishing. The water was always where Jason was happiest.

For more than 20 years, Jason shared his life with his wife, Lori, who was his best friend and partner in everything. Together, they built a home and created countless memories. Jason and Lori treasured their time together, surrounded by friends and family.

Jason later started Farrar Built Carpentry with his father, who taught him the trade. He became a skilled craftsman, and one of his proudest achievements was building their family home in Somerville, a project he poured his heart into, creating a place filled with love for those he cared about most.

Jason is survived by his wife, Lori of Somerville; his daughters Hailey, Shelbe, and Megan; his sons Tylor, Zachary, and Nicholas.

He also leaves behind his six grandchildren & many other loved ones.

His infectious smile, quick wit and bright spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2026, and information will be shared with family as the date approaches.
