Jason Fredman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schlossberg Chapel - Canton on Mar. 8, 2026.
Jason Noble Fredman of New Seabury, formerly of Sharon and Newton, passed away peacefully on March 7th surrounded by those who loved him.

He was the beloved husband of Ellen Fredman. Devoted father of Lisa Sorgman and her husband Dave, and Pam Goldman and her husband Jeff. Cherished Grampa & Poppy to Jared and Hailey Goldman, who brought him great pride and happiness.

Jason built a successful career as a childrenwears manufacturer's representative. During his retirement years, Jason decided to fill his time as a well respected real estate agent with Seabury/Sotheby's Real Estate. Known for his charismatic personality and resourcefulness.

Jason embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. He loved singing, golfing, and spending time at the beach, especially in the community he came to love in New Seabury. Known for his easygoing nature and welcoming spirit, Jason had a way of making everyone feel like a friend. His mantra in life was "the next best thing to oxygen is a sense of humor".

Above all else, his family was the center of his world, and the time he spent with them was what he treasured most.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 10th at 1:00 PM at Schlossberg Family's Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington Street in Canton, followed by burial at Sharon Memorial Park.

Shiva will be held Wednesday from 2:00–7:00 PM at the home of Jason and Ellen Fredman.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jason's memory may be made to the Stroke Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

'Cousin' Jason and I have known one another since birth. Fresh in my mind for over 70 years, is sitting with him in Roxbury the day his father passed away. Despite this loss and the uncertainties he faced, he had the same positive, good humored attitude that I heard when we spoke a few weeks ago. There is nothing he couldn't do if he put his mind to it. We grew up together, the sons of two sisters and maintained a connection for over 80 years. Despite both moving away from Boston and with our lives taking different paths, we had a connection based on hundreds of shared experiences, humor and a poignancy that will remain with me forever.

I could always count on him to lift my spirits and bring a unique perspective to any subject. My wife always knew when I was on the phone with Jason and I will miss him with all my heart. Judy and I extend our condolences to Ellen and her children and grandchildren on the passing of a truly wonderful and special person.

We are sorry to hear of Jasons passing. We bought the first house we saw in New Seabury and I believe that was Jasons first real estate sale. He always had a smile on his face. Will miss seeing him in the summers.. Deepest Condolences to his family.
