Jason Wade "Toad" Garth, aged 53, of Pampa, Texas, unexpectedly departed this life on March 24, 2025, in Pampa, to be with the Lord. Born on August 17, 1971, in Amarillo, Texas, to Mike and Mary Lynn Garth, Toad brought light and laughter to those around him.
Following his graduation from Dumas High School in 1989, Toad pursued his passion for horses at Lamar Community College, earning a degree in horse training and management. His career began with training cutting horses in Kansas and Nebraska before returning to Texas. Toad later worked as a welder and in the agriculture industry, ultimately finding his place in the oil and gas industry.
Toad's enduring love for horses was a cornerstone of his life. Often found branding cattle with his loved ones, he also cherished moments spent immersed in Western Horseman or delighting in the Cowboy channel's offerings. The sheer grit and power of a horse captivated him, exemplifying a majesty that resonated deeply within his soul.
On February 15, 1997, Toad married Sherylyn Snapp, his soulmate and best friend. They built a beautiful life together, welcoming three children and beloved fur babies into their family. Toad's devotion to his family was unwavering, his selfless love and attentiveness ensuring they were always cared for and provided for.
Toad had a knack for bringing joy to those around him with his dry wit and humor. Known for his wise cracks and playful teasing, he had a calm demeanor and a mischievous smirk that endeared him to many. His willingness to help others, without hesitation, was a testament to his generous spirit. As a grill master and smoke pit guru, Toad's culinary skills were highly sought after for various events and celebrations. From ribs to pork loins, he cooked with passion, sharing his expertise with friends, family, and community.
Toad is now reunited with his parents, Mike and Mary Lynn Garth; his paternal grandparents, Wayne and LaTrice Garth; his maternal grandparents, Pat and Arline McDowell; and his cousin, Jake McDowell.
He leaves behind a host of loved ones who will cherish his memory and miss his infectious smile and laughter. Those mourning his loss include his wife, Sheryl Garth of Pampa; his children, Jaycee Paulson and her husband Joseph, Jordan Garth, and Judd Garth, all of Pampa; his sister, Stacy Roberts and her husband Mike of Logan, NM; his precious granddaughters, Parker and Madilyn; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Carol Snapp; his mother-in-law, Carol Pierce; his brothers-in-law, Brian Snapp and his wife Alisha, all of Pampa, and Chance Williamson of Frisco; his sisters-in-law, Shellie Jewett and her husband Chris, and Shawna Snapp, all of Pampa; and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will be available to receive guests from 6 until 8 pm on Friday, March 28th at Winegeart Funeral Home in the Serenity Chapel.
Celebration of Life Memorial service are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at Briarwood Church with Pastor Jamisen Hancock officiating. Winegeart Funeral Home has been entrusted with the cremation care of their loved one.

I forgot to add, I wish I would have taken you up on the offer to go on the church retreat you invited me to. I often think he saw I needed the Lord. Long live cargray. Miss you
