Jason Paul Gautreau, born in Baton Rouge, LA on September 10, 1971, passed away in Gonzales on November 9, 2023, at the age of 52. Jason enjoyed playing his guitar in his earlier years, watching football and spending time with his family and friends. Jason is survived by his siblings, Rhonda Guidry (Derwin), Donna Spedale (Dwayne), Wanda Berthelot (Clay) and Ricky Gautreau; nieces and nephews, Casey Causey, Scott Causey, Chris Causey, Austin Guidry, Lindsey Sheets, Resa Davis, Ashley Denton, Chase Berthelot, and Landon Gautreau. Jason is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Joyce Young Gautreau; paternal grandparents, Nathan and Elzabeth Gautreau; maternal grandparents, Sam and Corinne Young. A private memorial service to celebrate Jason’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the You Are Not Alone Project of Baton Rouge in hopes of spreading awareness about mental heath.
