Jason W. Getzloff

Jason William Getzloff, Town of Hull, passed away in a four-wheeler accident on May 20, 2023, at the young age of 39.
Jason was born February 10, 1984 in Stevens Point; son of Bill and Marlene (Feltz) Getzloff. He lived his entire life in the Stevens Point area, attending local schools and graduating from SPASH in 2002.
Following high school, Jason entered the workforce and began working for the Worth Company making fishing lures. He held the position as a plater for the entire 17 years he dedicated to the company.
While creating fishing lure was his occupation, Jason was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed archery, hunting, fishing and bow fishing. In fact, he went to archery tournaments, both locally and nationally. Jason didn't limit his outdoor enjoyment to nature, he was also a big sports fan cheering on the Brewers and Packers. He also participated in fantasy baseball & football leagues and enjoyed playing softball. Most of all, Jason loved the people around him. He loved spending time with family and friends, and just "BSing" with people.
Jason is survived by his parents, Bill and Marlene; his brother, Brad (Jodi) Getzloff; and his paternal grandmother, Elaine Getzloff. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clara Gotz, Leonard Gotz, and Clarence Getzloff; uncles, Myron Feltz, Joe Getzloff, Jerry Getzloff, Bob Lucas, Rick Sevcik, and Albin Rucinski; aunts, Clara Feltz, Carol Maslowski, and Laurie Feltz-Mayek; and cousins, Travis Feltz and Jeremy Getzloff.
For those who wish to express their sympathy, the family kindly suggests in lieu of flowers, that memorials be made in Jason's name to the North East WI 3D Archery Tour. The N.E.W. series was something Jason loved to participate in and the donations will be given out at the championship in his honor. A memorial service and time of sharing will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Shuda Funeral Chapel - 3200 Stanley Street, Stevens Point. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of services.
