Jason Scott Hamaker, 49, of Peru, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at his residence in Peru.
He was born in Marion, Indiana on May 21, 1976 to James Robert and Melinda Kay (Davis) Hamaker. Jason was employed at Thrush as a CNC Operator – where he truly enjoyed working.
Jason was a very loving and caring father. He was quite the handyman, who could fix and build just about anything. He was described as being a jokester and someone who could always make you laugh. He had a very big personality. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and fireworks "Big Booms." He loved Harley Davidson's and also he enjoyed listening to Pantera.
He is survived by the love of his life, Michelle King of Swayzee, Indiana and father, James "Jim" (Linda) Hamaker of Warren, Indiana. Jason is also survived by his kids, Jason Hamaker II of Peru, Indiana, Kathryn (Jason) Shrout of Jonesboro, Indiana, Jessica Rennaker of Kokomo, Indiana, granddaughter, Avery Shrout, his brothers Russell (Davina) Hamaker of Van Buren, Indiana and James "Jimmy" (Julie) Hamaker of South Carolina, special friends, Kevin Rennaker, Carl Roberts, Mike Gibbs, and his dog, Harley.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Melinda Hamaker and three dogs: Lucifer "Lucy," Morgan, and Lady who he loved dearly. He is also preceded in death by a special uncle, Delbert Hamaker.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
