Jason Hurd Obituary
Jason was born in Kingsport, TN on August 2, 1973, to his parents, the late Melvin Paul and Laura Ruby (Christian) Hurd. He was a dedicated employee at Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS) in Erwin, TN and had been with them for 25 years. Jason had recently given his life to Christ and is now fully healed with no pain. He enjoyed playing with his cats, watching movies, hunting and fishing. Jason loved spending time with his family and loved them more than anything.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepdad, Wayne Craig, and his grandparents.
Jason is survived by his life partner, Sarina Hurd; daughters, Autumn Hurd (fiancé, Collin Crawford), and Summer Hurd; sister, Michelle Shelton (husband, Glen); father and mother-in-law, Gregory and Shirley Sams; as well as several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jason's work family, several aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews and his loving cats.
The family would like to say a special thank you to his Aunt Claudette, and his friends, Richard Sams and Logan Dalton for always being there to help, and for their love and care throughout Jason's illness.
Jason's wishes were to be cremated with no formal services at this time.

TO my sister SHIRLEY and all of BOB'S family and friends, we pray for peace for all of you. BOB is now at rest, no more pain or suffering. We had the pleasure of meeting BOB a few times when they came to visit , he was upbeat and very friendly and we liked him very much. I thank GOD he was in my sister's life for those 17 years and they were happy together.

Bob, you were one of the most capable, intelligent , kind and caring people I have ever known. This is putting it mildly. The loving family around you was always something to see and enjoy. It was a honor being your friend. I simply cannot say enough about your wonderful life and the impact it had on me the past 40 years. I knew your WW2 combat Hero Father and your wonderful Mother. They took such pride in the person you were and the way you lived your life. Everything you did showed genuine class and decency. One of the coolest things that ever happened to me was meeting you in 1985. My Soul will be forever touched by your inspiring presence. ROCK ON forever my dear friend.
