Jay was born on July 15, 1976 in Cambridge, MA. He was preceded in death by his parents Elza and Franco Laporta. He is survived by his loving wife Chrisitine (Lavoie) Laporta. He is also survived by his two brothers Franky Laporta and Keith Laporta and his sister Krystal Laporta as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and countless friends.
Jay was a proud resident of Somerville for most of his life. In his younger days Jay enjoyed hanging out with friends and had a great sense of humor.
Jay had a strong faith in God which helped him through many struggles in life. Jay was an upbeat and a dependable friend and will by missed dearly by all.
A memorial will be held on July 2, 2025 between 10 AM – 12 PM at Boston Cremation, located at 287 Main Street, Malden Ma 02148.
In lieu flowers donations can be made in Jay's name to the MSPCA or local animal shelter.
