Jason Ledford

Jason Ledford, of Cleveland, TN passed away the morning of April 7th, 2024 at the age of 48 with his wife by his side. 

Jason is leaving behind a legacy of integrity, kindness, and loving relationships. Jason was always polite and caring to everyone he met. 

In 2004 Jason made it his life’s work to care for others. He showed compassion and love to all patients he cared for while working at Life Care of Cleveland, Garden Plaza of Cleveland, and Hospice of Chattanooga. Many patients he worked with considered him family and welcomed him and his family into their lives. 

In 1995, Jason married the love of his life, Tara, and together they built a family and home filled with love and adventure. Jason was a devoted father to son, Braiden and daughter, Ashlyn. He actively participated in every event his children were a part of. He enjoyed traveling with his family and was always excited to plan their next trip. His children were his greatest joy and he spent every day caring and supporting them as they pursued their dreams. 

He loved his pets and was known for his kindness to animals throughout his life. He enjoyed gardening and could often be found working outside his home. He was a collector of coins and vintage toys and took great joy in perfecting his collections. He attributed his love of collecting to his late Father, Roy Ledford. 

Jason’s legacy will be carried on by his loving wife, Tara; his children Braiden and Ashlyn; his sister Rosalee (Christopher) Jarrell; his loving in-laws Terry and Karen James; nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Sharing their memories and reflections on Jason’s life will include Pastor Christopher Jarrell and Jason’s sister, Rosalee Jarrell. Serving as pallbearer will be his nephew Riley Hall. 

Jason’s life was a beacon of how to live with purpose and love. He will forever be deeply missed. We are so thankful for the memories he created as they will serve as comfort for all who knew him. 

Jason’s family will receive friends on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services ; 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd NE, Cleveland, TN 37311 from 6:00-8:00pm. 

Remembrance of life service will be held graveside on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Short Creek Baptist Church Cemetery; 892 Co Rd 50, Athens, TN 37303 at 2:00pm.
