Jason B. McGowty, 39, passed away suddenly on August 26, 2024.
Jason was larger than life, he was always ready with a funny joke or story and left a smile on your face.He was a fun-loving, caring, protector to anyone he knew. Jason worked for Mohawk heating for several years before deciding to open his own business, JBM Heating and Cooling, LLC. If he wasn't working, you could find him fishing or racing anything he could find with an engine. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends any chance he could.
Jason is predeceased by his father, Michael McGowty and his uncle, Tom Pustolka.
Jason is survived by the love of his life April Koops, his mother, Janice McGowty, and his brother, Mark McGowty. He is also survived by his aunts Christine McGowty, Diane Pustolka, Marie McGowty, and Kathy Towne. His uncles, John Towne, and Ronald McGowty. Jason is survived by several cousins and many close friends.
Visiting hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road Colonie, NY 12205 on August 31, 2024 from 12 PM to 3 PM with a service immediately following.
