Jason Lee Moulding found his peace following a long battle with addiction. He passed on October 24, 2023, at his home in American Fork, Utah. He was born on August 14, 1979, in Ogden, Utah, the son of Randy Moulding and Barbara Barney Cartwright.
Jason graduated from Fremont High School. He was a hard worker and skilled in Heavy Machinery. Jason owned North Country Boulder and worked for Moulding and Sons Sand and Gravel, and other contractors throughout his life.
He had many talents including restoring tractors and was very proud of the fencing and roads he built at their family ranch. Jason also enjoyed the outdoors and spent time hunting, fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle and 4-wheeling.
Jason was kind and generous, never thinking twice about helping someone in need. He had a heart of gold, often caring more for others than himself. Through Jason’s journey, we know Jason would want his tragedy to help encourage anyone struggling with addiction to keep fighting and to seek help. If one person’s life is saved by Jason’s story, we would share it a million times.
Jason is survived by his father Randy Moulding (Terrie Henderson), his mother Barbara Cartwright, his brothers: Dax Barney and Scott (Stephanie) Moulding, his beloved niece and nephew Shelbie and Brody Moulding, and many other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Darlene and Don Moulding, Gloria Thurston and Bob Barney and niece Makenzie Moulding.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, Roy Utah.
Jason will be scattered on the family ranch he loved so much at a later date.
