Jason Allen Nolan was born January 17, 1973, in Monroe, Michigan. He was born to the union of David Nolan and Sharon Nolan-Cronenwett. On November 13, 1998, Jason's mother, Sharon, married Anthony Cronenwett. On that day, Jason was blessed with a second father but was always treated as a biological son.
Jason developed an enthusiasm for football. Sunday afternoons were reserved for gathering with friends and family in the warmth of the living room, the aroma of homemade chili wafting through the air, as they cheered on their beloved Dallas Cowboys. The Super Bowl was a special event, marked by laughter and an abundance of friendships.
A true Michigander at heart, Jason was an devoted fan of the Detroit Red Wings and the Tigers. The excitement of a hockey game or the thrill of a baseball game was something he rarely missed. Interestingly, Jason was the sole member of his family captivated by basketball. His fascination for the game was a private joy, one that he cherished in solitude, yet passionately shared with anyone willing to watch with him.
He often found comfort in shading the intricate patterns of adult coloring books. His knack for capturing beauty with vivid colors was meditative. Alongside this, his journal housed a medley of thoughts and reflections.
An outdoorsman by nature, Jason cherished moments spent along the River Raisin, especially by the east end bridges, rod in hand, eagerly awaiting the tug of a fish on the line.
Jason Allen Nolan, age 52, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday June 15, 2025, at 3:03pm with his family by his side. He was under the loving care from Heartland Hospice. In addition to his passing, he was preceded in death by his fathers: David Nolan and Anthony Cronenwett; two cousins: David Howards Jr., Shawn Nolan; and loving grandparents.
To cherish his memory, Jason leaves his mom: Sharon Nolan-Cronenwett; a girlfriend: Lavina Snider; a brother: Wesley (Lensey) Nolan; a Niece: Elynore; and many more friends and family.
His care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, North Monroe; 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe, Michigan 48162 (734) 384-5185. Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
