Obituary of Jason M. O'Brien

Jason M. "J Bird" O'Brien, age 49, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island. Born in Darby, PA, Jason was raised in Southwest Philadelphia. He was a 1994 graduate of Chichester High School and later attended Pennco Tech in 2000. A talented tradesman, Jason was self-employed as an Electrician and also worked as an International Service Technician. He was known for his dedication to fitness, his unwavering love for the Philadelphia Eagles, and his admiration for martial arts-especially Bruce Lee. Devoted to his faith, he was a proud member of The Bridge Church, formerly Marcus Hook Baptist Church. Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah T. O'Brien; his stepfather, Joseph Doerr Sr.; and two siblings, Bryan Lima and Joseph Doerr Jr. He is survived by his father, Steven Lima; his daughter Jaydan O'Brien, two sons; and five siblings: Donna Lima, Steven Lima, Laurie Doerr, Justine Doerr, and Andrew Lima. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews-Joseph Doerr, Jason Doerr, Tristin Napoleon, Breanna Lima and Bryan Lima; great-niece and nephew, Sonny and Kaia Pilkington; best friend and cousin; Jeremy Farraday and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by an 11:00 AM memorial service.
