Anthony "Tony" H. Amand, age 93, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on September 23, 2025, at Accent Care at Christiana Hospital.
Raised in South Philadelphia, Tony spent the past eight years living in Delaware, previously residing in The Villas, Cape May County, NJ.
Tony dedicated his career to marketing, working for Subaru of America and spending many years with Parade Magazine. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. A man of strong faith, Tony was a parishioner of St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Cape May, NJ and later Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Claymont, DE. He was also a proud member of the Marine Corps League in Cape May, Lance Corporal Thomas Aramis Detachment.
In earlier years, Tony enjoyed bowling and woodworking, pastimes that reflected his active spirit and creativity.
In addition to his parents, Anthony F. and Marie Williams Amand, Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Bernice Buck Amand who passed in 2021; his brother, Robert Amand; and sister-in-law, Sheila Amand.
He is survived by his children, Anthony "Tony" M. Amand, Carol (Edward) Tyson, and Paul (Joanne) Amand; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Tony's memory may be made to Elks Club #1896, 109 W. 1st Ave. #5, Wildwood, NJ 08260.

The funeral services on Wednesday will be livestreamed starting at 11:00 AM and can be viewed by or by viewing the video that will appear below.
