Funeral Mass Saturday August 16, 2025 9:30AM St. Ignatius Martyr Church

Jason Christopher Parker, a lifelong resident of Long Beach, New York, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the age of 55. He was surrounded by his loving family by his side. Jason was the beloved son of the late Thomas J. Parker and Marjorie S. Parker.

Jason leaves behind his wife of twenty-seven years, Bernadette D. Parker and his beautiful children, daughter, Kendall and son, Wyatt. Jason has dedicated his whole life to being a loving, loyal husband and father. His number one priority was to ensure that his family was safe and taken care of. He loved coaching his daughter's softball and soccer teams. He was very proud of her accomplishments, especially receiving her master's degree to dedicate her goals of being a teacher. His other passion was watching his son Wyatt play soccer and later focusing on wrestling from middle school to his college years.

Jason was a pillar of support for his son's wrestling programs, traveling to every match over the years. His dedication extended beyond his own family, as he built strong relationships and naturally mentored many young wrestlers throughout their journeys.

A man of quiet strength, Jason had a profound impact simply by being himself. He was always the one to make sure a teammate had a ride, the right equipment, or someone cheering them on when their own parents couldn't be there. Like his late father, Tom, he was a great friend, neighbor, and mentor to countless young people.

Jason also loved pickleball, where he not only enjoyed the sport but reconnected with people from his past. He lived his final years unknowingly battling illness while continuing to care for his sick father, living each day as a devoted husband and father. He proved that no medals are needed to honor a beautiful soul. He was a genuinely good man.

He is survived by his beloved in-laws, Henry and Ceny de los Reyes. He was a loving brother-in-law to Maria Keenan and her husband Rodney, and to Claudette Rivera and her husband Richard. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, Ashley, Taylor, and Madison.

He also leaves behind his paternal aunt, Elaine Peck (the late Russell), and a host of cousins: the children of Elaine and Russell, including the late Jamie Peck and his wife Liza along with their children Griffin, Merritt (and her husband Kevin), Kirby, and Sawyer. He was also a cousin to Craig Peck, his wife Kim, and their daughter Amelia; and Jake Peck, his wife Ivanna, and their children Aidan and Edward. He was also a nephew of the late Uncle Ray

Parker.

On his maternal side, he is survived by his aunt, Barbara La Penna (the late Gerry). He will be fondly remembered by his cousins: Scott Schapiro, his wife Cindy, and their children Ian and Danielle; Tony, his wife Cindy, and their children Mason and Emerson; Gregg and Monique; Gerry; the late Lazar and Blaze; and Joey, his wife Grace, and their children Naia and Fylo.

Forever in our hearts, we love you so…..
