Jason Todd Penix, 50, of Mogadore, passed away on March 28th, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend who touched many lives with his kindness, dedication, and infectious sense of humor.

Jason is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Linda; his sons, Logan and Garrett; his mother, Connie, and stepfather, Mike Thompson; his father, Larry Penix; his brother, Nate (Holly) Penix; his sister, Tamara (Mike) Loverich; his stepbrothers, Karson (Ashley) and Cody (Juanita) Collins; and his brother-in-law, Bobby (Lindsey) Braybon. He also leaves behind his cherished grandmother, Ruth Thompson, as well as his special Uncle Richard and Aunt Peggy and Cousin Billy Penix. Jason was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews: Fiona, Riley, Quinn, Alyssa, Lana, Cadence, Joshua, Chase, Braedon, Dalton, Lincoln, Liam, and Parker. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, who he considered his "Framily" and held close to his heart.

Jason was preceded in death by his cousin, Duane Smith, and his grandparents Alice & Glen Stanley, Molly & Mose Penix, and James Thompson, as well as his stepmother, Sam Penix.

Throughout his life, Jason worked in the Commercial Insulation and Construction trade, most recently serving as the Business Manager of Local 84 and as a Project Manager for George V. Hamilton. His career was marked by his hard work, leadership, and dedication.

Jason will be remembered for the countless cherished memories he created with family and friends-whether it was trips to the cabin in Michigan, riding ATVs or SXS, hunting trips, fishing outings, time spent at the ballfield, on a wrestling mat, or at a football stadium, pool parties, or the weeks spent at Countryfest. He also dedicated much of his time to coaching youth sports and serving on the boards of various organizations to better his community. Jason's bright light shone in the lives of all who knew him, and he was a constant source of care, love, and laughter. He was always putting others before himself, and his caring nature made the world around him a better place. His blue eyes would twinkle when he was being playful, and his smirk always gave away that he was up to something. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and was a protector of everyone.

In honor of Jason's memory, his family will be setting up a foundation in his name to raise awareness for the early detection of pancreatic cancer, in the hope that future families might avoid the pain and tragedy they experienced.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Community Life Church, located at 106 S Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.

Jason will forever be missed, but his love, light, and spirit will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
