Jason Michael Peoples, 48, of McArthur, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Holzer Medical Center, Jackson. Jason was born on January 13, 1976, in Athens, the son of the late Kenneth L. and Charlene (Coleman) Peoples Sr. He was married to Joy (Manering) Peoples who survives.
Jason worked 26 years for Superior Hardwoods. He enjoyed spending time with his boys. He loved hunting, fishing, and his beagles. Jason was loving and caring, but also hard headed and stubborn.
Jason is survived by his wife, Joy; sons, Dakota Peoples, David Peoples, and Cody Peoples; a grandchild on the way; brothers, Timothy Peoples and Kenneth Peoples Jr., step children, Steven Rasp and Nashanda Rasp; 8 step grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jason was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Danyel Castor Peoples; and grandparents, Jessie James and Pansey Coleman and Howard and Ellen Peoples.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St, McArthur, with Pastor David Peoples officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
