Jason Mitchell Sell

Jason Mitchell Sell, beloved father, son, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Georgetown, Kentucky. He was born on February 11, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Cherrine Copeland Sell and the late Rodney "Rod" Allen Sell. Jason was a devoted father to his daughter, Sarah Russell, who was the light of his life. He took great pride in his work as a team leader at Toyota in Georgetown, where he was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and the respect he showed to everyone around him. He had a deep love for cars-especially his red Mustang, which he proudly cherished. Jason will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor, and the way he could bring a smile to anyone's face. Jason was known for his incredible beer cheese - a recipe that brought people together and will be deeply missed by everyone who tasted it. He was the family's fixer, always able to repair anything that was broken, whether it was a tool, a car, or someone's day. Jason had a heart of gold - selfless, dependable, and always ready to help anyone in need.
Besides his daughter and mother, he is survived by Sarah's husband, Evan Russell of Georgetown, his stepmother, Carol Ann McKinney Sell, two brothers, Ryan (Laura) Sell of Frankfort; Trevor (Brenda Lynn) Sell of Georgetown, one sister, Cherrine (Chuck) Coulter of Louisville, his bonus daughter, Madeline Jo Russell and his beloved dog, Saki. Jason is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in his passing by his father, Rodney "Rod" Allen Sell.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Nic Skinner officiating at 3:00 PM. Family and friends are welcome at 2:00 PM before the service starts with a Celebration of Life Gathering immediately following the service until 5:00 pm.
