Jason A. Sorenson, 52, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
A Celebration of Life Gathering for Jason will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025 in the Banquet Center at Rides Bar & Grill located at 723 South 31st Street in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Please wear your favorite Viking’s attire. Burial will be held at a later date at Union Cemetery in Pomeroy, Iowa. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jason Alan Sorenson, son of Kenneth and Judy (Johnson) Sorenson was born on June 15, 1973 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He graduated from Delano High School in Delano, Minnesota with the class of 1991. Jason worked for over 10 years at Van Diest Supply Company in Webster City. He currently was working at Green Amusement in Fort Dodge as the Dart and Pool League Coordinator.
Jason’s hobbies included pool, darts, golfing, fishing, and he was a TEMU enthusiast. He loved the Minnesota Vikings and Dr. Pepper. Jason also loved to spend time with his pool and dart family – who he loved very much.
Jason was preceded in death by his parents; his nephew, Hunter Sorenson; and several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his forever fiancé, Becky Mack of Fort Dodge; his five children, Zachary Sorenson, Austin (Danalee) Sorenson, Jacob Sorenson, Morgan Sorenson, and Quintin (Maddy) Sorenson; two step children, Ashley (Brian) Eddington and Bethany (Thomas) Eddington; his four granddaughters, Adalynn, Kinlee, Aurora, and Ravyn; his brother, Jeffrey (Trish) Sorenson of Coon Rapids, IA; two sisters, Jolene Griffin of Davenport, IA, Jill (Dan) Smith of Boone, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
