Jason Sylvester Van Wert, age 54, of St. Paul, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024.
Born to Fenton Sr. and Pauline Vanwert, Jason was preceded in death by his beloved son, Derec; his parents; and his brothers, Leonard and Dean.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; his son, Joshua; his brothers, Jimmy (Laura) and Fenton Jr. (Mary); his sister, Monica; his cherished aunt, Ona; his cousin, Sarah; his godson; and many other friends, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry on his memory.
Jason was a deeply compassionate man with a generous heart. He was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others, especially through his involvement with Teen Challenge, where he touched many lives with his words and support.
Though Jason's time with us was too short, his impact will never be forgotten. His warmth, contagious laugh, humor, and love for his family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Jason's life will be held at Anderson Funeral Home, where family and friends can gather to share memories and honor his legacy.
Rest in peace, Jason. Gigawaabamin (we will see you again). You will always be loved and missed.
A visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home at 1401 Arcade Street, Saint Paul, MN 55106 on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 11AM to 1PM, with a service at 1PM and burial at Elmhurst Cemetery in Saint Paul, MN at 2PM.
