Funeral service will be 10 am, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Buna with burial at Antioch cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Friday, February 27, 2026, at the church as well.
Born February 8, 1936, to Jasper Conley Smith, Sr. and Zonnie Yvonne (Wilkinson), he worked as an engineer for NASA.
He is survived by wife, Dorothy D. Smith of Buna; son, Andy Smith and Carla of Buna; daughter, Sunee Stephens of Buna; sisters, Joan Smith of Orange, Judy Carter and Nick of Lumberton; grandchildren, Haley Bingham, Taylor Smith, Shannon Hicks, Sierra Fisher; great grandchildren, Jett, Claire, Lane, Ruby, Ruth Lynn, Kimberly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Heather and Samantha Stephens; brother, Jerry Smith.
