Javier Salas

Javier Salas, born January 26, 1966, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, MX, passed away on September 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 59.

A life-long mechanic with a talent to troubleshoot and fix anything, he proudly worked as a maintenance and set-up mechanic for D & W Fine Pack at the time of his unexpected passing.

He was a devoted father of six children-Luis, Claudia, Erika, Cindy, Javier Jr., and Laura-and a grandfather to 9-all of which were his greatest source of pride and joy. A loving, caring, and generous man, he dedicated his life to providing for his family and ensuring that they always felt supported and cared for.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Gabriel, and his mother Fidencia, whom he cared for throughout their lives. He leaves behind his wife of 40 years, Leticia, and siblings Dora and Roberto.

Javier, known for his warm smile and can-do attitude, enjoyed working with his hands, whether it was fixing, building, or creating-always pouring his heart into everything he did. He loved sharing his knowledge with anyone who had the desire to learn. He also cherished his time away on vacations, making memories with his loved ones that will forever be treasured.

Javier leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and strength. He will be deeply missed by his children, family, and all who were blessed to know him.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, a reminder of the joy he brought and the love he shared. "Salud por Lupe."

His visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at The Memorial Chapel of Waukegan, 1521 Washington Street, Waukegan, IL 60085.
