Through tears and unimaginable heartbreak I can finally share that my sweet Jaxon
Eli passed away unexpectedly in his mothers arms on July 24, 2025 in Dallas, Tx.
Jaxon Eli Butler came into this world like a firecracker on July 4, 2015 in Idabel, Ok.
He spent 10 years and 20 days or a total of 3673 days of doing the impossible. Jaxon
was born with a rare disease, Hydranencephaly, but he never let it stop him. He defied
all the odds and proved so many doctors wrong. He was the strongest and bravest little
boy. Such a beautiful ray of sunshine.
Jaxon's life may have been short in the number of years but he lived those 10 years to
the fullest. His smile and laughter not only melted the hearts of those around him but
lit up any room he was in. To know and love Jaxon was to understand a language all
his own. The incredible side eye he managed or the way he would "play opossum" if
he didn't want to do something is surely one for the record books. He had an ability to
say so much with a simple raise of his eyebrows, a shake of his head, or look on his
face. Jaxon spoke more then anyone can ever truly imagine without ever using words.
Jaxon received homebound school services from Denison Elementary where he was
just entering the 5th grade. He loved all his special physical, occupational, speech
therapist and teachers. Jaxon loved spending his days cuddled up on the couch with
his stuffed animals and his loved ones. He loved watching movies on his ipad, and
listening to music. With his most favorites being Moana and Taylor Swift. He also
really loved being outside sitting on the porch or riding in his wagon as much as
possible. Jaxon's absolute favorite time of day was always bedtime as it meant "Jaxon
and Mama time" with movies and lots of cuddles. He was truly a mama's boy which
was something his Mimzy was always jealous of.
Jaxon is preceded in death by his great grandparents Joyce Louise Weiland Cribb,
Lula Mae Bourgeois Cribb, Edgar Waymon and Bernida Johanna Rodgers, and
Malcolm R. Butler.
Jaxon leaves to cherish his memory his mother Amanda Marie Rodgers, his siblings
Braylee and Baylor Butler (their mother Stephanie Pilant), his father David Adam
Butler, grandparents Penny and Terry Rodgers, Toni and David Butler, his aunt
Rachael and husband Jared Woods, his uncle Matthew Butler, his great grandparents
Henry Monroe Cribb, Patsy Butler, Roger and Peggy Strain, his great aunts and uncles
Robin Cribb, Sandee and Kirk Claborn, Joann Slabaugh, John and Teri Cribb, Paul
Cribb, Mary Ridge, Tom and Bly Rodgers, David and Wanda Rodgers, James and
Donna Rodgers, Francis Evans, Virginia Roots, Eddie Rodgers and a whole host of
cousins, friends and other family members including a special cousin Swayzie Layne
Cribb, and most of all his special girlfriend Eloise, her parents Gina and Craig Fetter,
and her sister Ruth.

A celebration of life will be planned for him at a later date. Instead of flowers, plants,
or things of that nature being sent his mother, Amanda, would rather receive
donations made in honor of Jaxon to help create a memorial garden for him. The
simplest way is through cash app - $AmandaRodgers7415
With Jaxon's passing we would like to remind others that his life is one to be
celebrated. Although we will miss him everyday he remains in our hearts always and
forever. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will live on through the
many lives he touched.

know it so it goes on flying anyway" - Mary Kay Ash
Like the bumblebee Jaxon is flying onto his next journey
