Jaxon Jones, age 9, of Rushville, Indiana, the faithful and handsome Saint Bernard mix of Jimmie and Amanda Jones, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

Jaxon was born on Sunday, March 20th of 2016. From the time he joined the Jones family, he has brought so much joy and happiness to the home with his sweet personality. He was loyal and protective to those he loved so dearly. His family shared their favorite memory of Jaxon, how "he never left your side, especially during an illness."

His family felt what Jaxon valued the most in his life was them, sharing that Jaxon never wanted to be without them and loved spending time with them no matter where they were.

His family shared what they loved the most about Jaxon: that he was a kind and gentle soul, he loved everyone he met, and he loved all animals. Jaxon was a good boy and would walk beside his mom and dad unleashed and never, ever stray.

Jaxon was a fun boy who loved going on jeep rides with his family and enjoyed having his head sticking out of the top. Jaxon's favorite toys to play with were his footballs; according to his family, "He loved footballs and carried them everywhere," and his favorite treats were anything with peanut butter and fresh cheese.

Jaxon, also lovingly known as "Jax," was a sweet soul and deeply cared for his entire family, but his greatest love was for his human dad, Jimmie. His family shared, "His dad was his favorite person, and he never left his side, even when other people were around.

The only exception to this was when his mom, Amanda, was battling a very serious illness; he never left her side and checked on her all day long."

Jimmie and Amanda are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of their sweet, gentle boy, Jaxon, who touched so many lives and left so many memories during his 9 years as a member of the family. He will be forever remembered.

In addition to Jimmie and Amanda, Jaxon will be sadly missed by his fur-sister Charlie. Jaxon was teaching her his gentle ways, helping her learn to potty train, and just showing her the ropes on how to be an amazing dog, just like he was.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana.
