Jay was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on March 4, 1978, to the late Youlen Eady, Jr. and Patsy Alford Eady. He was a graduate of Baldwin High School. He was preceded in death by a brother Youlen "Danny" Eady, III and a sister Betsy Reeves.
Survivors include a sister Kathie Sasnett of Milledgeville, two nieces, Brittany King (Shon) and Melissa Reeves of Milledgeville, and two nephews Jesse Sasnett (Courtney) and Kenneth Cooper, great nieces, Alissa Register and Mila Sasnett and a great nephew Jaylen King.
