Jay Lynn Flanagan, son of the late J.W. and Leverne (Lanard) Flanagan, was born June 18, 1946, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and departed this life March 3, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at 79 years of age.
Jay was united in marriage to Laquetia Brown on Thanksgiving Day, 1965.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Leverne Flanagan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laquetia Flanagan of Seymour, Missouri, two sons, Steven William Flanagan of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Glen Flanagan of Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia, one daughter, Mary DeAnna Flager of Seymour, Missouri, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and other extended family and friends. Jay had a big heart and was a true friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
