As my Young Life leader in1968, Jay was instrumental in launching my journey with Christ. His guidance, humor, and commitment to studying the Bible with others clearly left a lasting imprint on my life. Embedded in me are memories of his zany antics. I loved Jay and will miss him as I knew him in San Mateo, CA.

What a man of God. God used Jay in so many ways and with so many people. He always wanted to apply God's Word to all of life, to change the world, for "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." He had and has the heart of Jesus, and I'm sure he's going straight to heaven to be with Him. I spent a few days a couple times with Jay and crew at the Campus Crusade center in Arrowhead Springs in the early 80s with other godly men from various denominational backgrounds. And he was a piece of heaven at Murphy's.
