Harry James Grimstead, 82, of Denton, NC went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Harry was born, March 30, 1942, in Princess Anne County Virginia to Melvin and Ruby Grimstead. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Melva; brothers, Richard (Bim), Larry (Bunky), and daughter, Kim Merrill. Left to celebrate his memory are his wife, Joyce Smith Grimstead, sons, Chuck (Evangeline) of Orlando Florida, Jamie (Amanda) of Winston Salem, NC; daughters, Mickey Ly; grandchildren, Emma and Ben Grimstead of Winston Salem, Colin and Christian Grimstead of Orlando, Florida, Brandi Ly and Brittany Barber; nieces, Mylinda McKinney, and Coley Torok both of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Nephew Curtis Grimstead of Richmond, Virginia.
Harry was a loving husband to his wife Joyce. He had a wonderful relationship with his savior, Jesus Christ and loved watching many preachers share the word on television. His love for our country was evident while serving in the US Military. Harry also found great pleasure in watching sports of all kinds. He loved his family and spending time with them. A private memorial service will be shared with the family.
