Jay Barry Hayes

Jay Barry Hayes, 85, of Telford, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. He was the beloved husband of the late Diane Joan Hayes, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Sellersville, Barry was the son of the late Perry and Sara Hayes. He was a graduate of Souderton Area High School and proudly owned and operated the family business, Hayes Auto Body, for many years.

Barry enjoyed golf while making it look easy. He was a bowler in a men's league for 40 plus years. He also was a pitcher for a church fast pitch softball league in his younger years. Barry enjoyed hunting in Pennsylvania and out west. He was a longtime member of the NRA. Most of all he enjoyed helping others whenever he could.

Barry was a great and loving father. He was a humble man. Darin, Mike, and Holly were proud to call him their dad.

He is survived by his children, Holly Hayes (Ray Steinman), Michael Hayes (Dinah), and Darin Hayes (Cassie); his grandchildren, Chase (Iolanda), Mason (Annie), Terner (Chloe), Gabrielle, Ava, John, Ani, Chase, and Brynn; his two great-granddaughters, Evangeline and Rosalee; and his sisters, Linda Greiner and Aven Markley (Ken).

A funeral service will be private for the family.

A celebration of Barry's life with his family and friends will be held on Friday, January 2 from 1-4, at Indian Valley Country Club, 650 Bergey Road, Telford, PA 18969. Light refreshments will be served.
