William Heilemann Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home on Feb. 12, 2026.
William (Bill) S. Heilemann, Jr., 73, of Telford, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 9, 2025. He was the husband of Virginia Heilemann (Klees.) Bill and Ginny celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past August.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William S. Heilemann, Sr. and Elizabeth (Diver) Heilemann. Bill grew up in Hatboro, PA and graduated from Upper Moreland High School. Bill's love of baseball started with his father and grew through Little League and high school where he pitched for the Golden Bears of Upper Moreland High School. Bill was also a graduate of Lock Haven University where he was a member of Phi Mu Delta fraternity. Bill's writing and sports expertise was seen in the campus newspaper, The Eagle Eye, where he was the sports editor.

Bill was most proud of his work as a realtor for Regent Valley Associates. Bill always said his wife, Ginny, was his toughest customer when they bought their house in Indian Valley Meadows. Bill was a founding board member of the first IVM Homeowners' Association. Later in life, Bill was a driver for the Montgomery County Association for the Blind.

Bill volunteered his time coaching for Souderton Baseball and Softball. Win or lose, Bill always took his teams out for ice cream after games. The highlight of his coaching career was when his senior girls won the 1996 Valley Inter-Community Girls Softball League Championship. He was so proud of his girls!

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kristin Elizabeth Liemberger and her husband, Michael; two grandsons, Coleridge and Adam Liemberger; his sister, Elizabeth Frye; his aunt, Catherine Diver; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Inurnment at Hillside Cemetary, Roslyn, PA will be held later in spring. A celebration of life will be held at Citizens Bank Park where Bill's family and friends will cheer on the Phillies in his honor.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bill's honor to "Missions Door," c/o Paul Decker, 6931 Willow Wood, Lockport, PA 14094.
