Graveside services are 1:00 pm Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
Jay is survived by his wife Lisa Kaplan, daughters Noelle Ables and Danielle Burke (Tom), sons Josh Kaplan and Justin Mainous (Elanie), sister Sybil Longinotti, grandchildren Kaylee Adams, Jordan Ables, Brianna Burke, McKayla Burke, Vincent Kaplan, and Giovanni Kaplan, great-grandchildren Kinsley Adams and Olivia Ables, and numerous Fur babies Sadie, Axel, Josie, Brother, Dusty, Mr. Gray, and Dixie.
He was of the Jewish faith, was a retired mechanic with the Gillette Corporation, and was a former Air Force airman.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents Abraham Kaplan and Ceila Kaplan Aronstein, and son-in-law Stevie Ables.
