With broken hearts and deep sorrow, accepting the decision of the all mighty creator we announce the passing of Jay Don Quigley, a beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, Uncle, and Cherished friend, peacefully took his final ride from this world on Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of cherished memories, and doing what he loved having a good time singing Jimi Hendrix “Foxy Lady”.

Jay Don Quigley entered this world to his beloved parents, J.C. and Cleothia Quigley, on June 5, 1955, in Lubbock, Texas. As a child, he was an All-Star baseball player for the Eastern Little League. He loved to swim, enjoying doing tricks and flips off the high diving board, which was later inherited by all his children. He attended Estacado High School in Lubbock. Jaydon lived a simple life as a simple man. A life full of heart, adventure, courage, strength, and unwavering love for his family and close friends, especially the “Riders of the Wind”. To his children, he was the greatest superhero of all, the epitome of a free-spirited person, and in strength, leaving an indelible mark upon all who had the privilege of knowing him. A true “Rider of the Wind”. His love for his family and friends could bring a roar of joy and laughter to a sorrow-filled room. Even in death, just the mention of his name brings joy and laughter to a grieving family. During Jaydon's time as a Biker, being a predominant member of the “Riders of the Wind” biker group brought a spirit of joy and vivacity that drew people to cling to him from all over the United States.

He leaves behind a legacy of love in his parents, J.C. and Cleothia Quigley. Children: Kevin Fulcher, Twanz Frazier, Kevin Lamar, Jessica Frazier, Jamal Frazier, Jason Lamar, Jonathan Quigley, and Harley Johnson. Sisters: Neldia Hibbler (Walter), Lura Little (Larry), Shirley Quigley, Sheila Quigley, Tamara Perkins (Roderick), and Brother: Walter Quigley (Lula). His Devotion as a grandfather was evident in his pride for his 15 grandchildren: Quaydrian, Keyondre, Kevon, Twanz Jr., Keyan, Josiah, Triniti, Christian, Jordan, Ke’Auri, Jashawn, Jazaniah, J’zyreon, Jamal Jr., Jason Jr. and two great-grandchildren: Leilani and Zyaire. Jaydon also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Jaydon is now reunited in eternal rest with his beloved paternal grandparents: KC and Terry Quigley, maternal grandparents: Pink and Carlena Parson, and siblings: Troy Quigley and Barbara Mitchell, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

The family is inviting the public to celebrate Jaydon with a viewing on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Venue on Broadway, 2202 Broadway in Lubbock from 4:00-8:00 pm. The Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 am, followed by interment at City of Lubbock Cemetery and Repass at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church fellowship hall.

As we reflect on the Life of Jay Don Quigley, let us remember his spirit, radiant, nurturing, and forever cherishing the threads of bonds that he so lovingly wove. Jaydon made an unforgettable impact on everyone who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire laughter, unity, and love in the hearts of all he has touched throughout his lifetime.
