Jay Jacob Silbert, age 88, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Fort Walton Beach, FL.

Born on August 20, 1937, in Miami Florida, Jay lived a full and adventurous life marked by devotion to family, dedication to his profession, and a deep love for the outdoors.

A registered pharmacist in the state of Florida, Jay built a respected career serving his community with knowledge, integrity, and care. Beyond his profession, he was a proud veteran and a loyal alumnus of University of Florida, where he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Florida Gators.

Jay embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He was an avid golfer who cherished time on the course, loved sailing the open waters, and found joy in snow skiing, scuba diving, and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed cruising and traveling, always ready for the next adventure. A devoted dog lover and a man who appreciated a good cigar, Jay was perhaps most famous for his many stories - each told with humor, warmth, and a twinkle in his eye. His personality filled every room, and his stories will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Jay was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Judith Rita Silbert, and his son, Michael Alan Silbert.

He is survived by his daughters, Terry, Debbie, and Sharon; three sons-in-law; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. His legacy of love, strength, humor, and adventure will continue through the generations he cherished so deeply.

Jay will be remembered as a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, loyal friend, and a man who truly lived life to the fullest.
