Jay Anthony Strigel, 83 of Little Elm, Texas, passed away August 25, 2022 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born January 31, 1939 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
Jay graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 1965 with a BS in Civil Engineering. He is retired from the Fox River Water Reclamation District where he held the position of District Engineer. He enjoyed reading, building wooden ships and was passionate about bridges.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lorraine; his two children, Michael (Molly) of Madison, WI, and Amy Sill (Tim) of Platte City, MO. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Colin Kinnick, Zachary Sill, Ben Sill, Evelyn Strigel, and Eden Stigel; his sisters, Mary Feldner, and Sue (Jim) Stange of WI; his nephews, Matt (Tassie) Milne of Toronto, Canada, Bradley (Sam) Milne of San Francisco,and Matt Menzer of Wisconsin, his nieces, Alexis Kasznia of Northlake, Texas, Alyssa Feldner of Wisconsin and Jennifer Menzer of Wisconsin, his sister-in-laws, Lois (Jim) Kasznia of Northlake, TX and Barbara (Alan) Smith of Toronto.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Strigel; and also, by his brother, Loren (Roberta) Strigel.
There will be a private memorial held at a later date.
